Self-Diagnostic System: Notes
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.
NOTE:
Before proceeding with cruise control self-diagnostic system, ensure preliminary inspection has been performed. See PRELIMINARY INSPECTION
under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
When vehicle is in cruise control mode, system will cancel due to any malfunction in actuator, speed sensor or cruise control on-off switch circuit. When cruise control functions are canceled CRUISE control indicator light will blink 5 times indicating a 2-digit DTC is stored in cruise control module memory. DTCs are retrieved using cruise control indicator light. Scan tool diagnostics are not available for cruise control system.
If a concern or symptom exists, but no DTCs were set, diagnose by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX table under SYSTEM TESTS.
