Diagnostic Aids

Disconnecting modules and turning ignition switch to RUN position may cause DTCs to set in these modules. Check for DTCs in each module upon completion of required repair. If a short to ground exists, a history DTC U1300 or U1305 will set in modules. See DTC U1300: CLASS 2 DATA LINK LOW  or DTC U1305: CLASS 2 DATA LINK LOW OR HIGH  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. If a short to voltage exists, a history DTC U1301 or U1305 will set in modules. See DTC U1301: CLASS 2 DATA LINK HIGH  or DTC U1305: CLASS 2 DATA LINK LOW OR HIGH  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS.
