Removal Procedure

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the I/P drivers knee bolster reinforcement. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT .
Remove the following components from the vehicle:
- The plastic retainer (1)
- The left I/P outer air outlet duct (2)

Remove the screw (2) which secures Junction Block #2 (1) and position aside in order to gain the necessary clearance to remove the left I/P outer air outlet.

Remove the following components from the vehicle:
- The screw
- The left I/P outer air outlet (1)

Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver electrical connector.
Remove the following components from the vehicle:
- The remote control door lock retaining nut
- The remote control door lock receiver (1) with the mounting bracket attached

Depress the retaining tab and remove the mounting bracket from the receiver, if necessary.
