Installation Procedure

  1. Coat the threads of the ECT sensor with sealer.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the ECT sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the ECT sensor to 17 N.m (13 lb ft)  .

  3. Connect the ECT connector.

  4. Install the VIS vacuum tank. Refer to Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve Vacuum Reservoir Replacement .

    Tighten:  Tighten the VIS vacuum tank retaining bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in)  .

  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Fill the coolant system.
