Removal Procedure
- Remove the power steering pump and reposition. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (3.4L)
or Power Steering Pump Replacement (3.8L)
in Power Steering System.
- Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
- Remove the CMP sensor.
- Inspect the sensor O-ring for wear, cracks, or leakage if the sensor is not being replaced.
