Removal Procedure

- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
- Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 8.1L.
- Clean any dirt from the fuel pressure dampener retainer and the surrounding area.
- Remove the fuel pressure dampener clip (1) and dampener.
