Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery and Battery Tray Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the engine control module (ECM) bracket nuts.

  3. Disconnect the ECM connector.
  4. Remove the ECM retaining nuts and the ECM.
