Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: The locking rod is replaced as part of the door latch assembly.

Remove the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Inside .

Remove the window run channel. Refer to Window Weatherstrip Run Channel Assembly Replacement - Front .
Remove the locking assembly, including the attached locking rod (5).
