Installation Procedure

- Reconnect the electrical connector.
- Position the TCM in the mounting bracket.
- Install the mounting bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the mounting bolts to 2.0 N.m (17 lb in).
- Install the ECM. Refer to Engine Control Module (ECM) Replacement in Engine Controls - 6.0L.
- Reset the TAP values. Refer to Transmission Adaptive Functions (TCM) .

IMPORTANT:
It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.
Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.
