Removal Procedure

- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement
in Power Steering Systems.
- Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the attaching bolt.
- Remove the CMP sensor.
- Inspect the CMP sensor O-ring for wear, cracks, or leakage if the sensor is not being replaced.
