Voice Recognition

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The navigation system can utilize voice commands from the operator to control many functions of the radio. The voice recognition microphone is located above rear view mirror. In domestic vehicles this microphone is shared with the Onstar® system. The microphone signal is then routed to the Onstar® voice communication interface module (VCIM) then to the navigation radio where the signal is processed and the command is performed. In export vehicle the signal from the microphone is routed directly to the navigation radio. For a complete list of all available voice commands refer to the navigation supplement.
