Sunroof Module Assembly Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Remove both sunroof windows from the module. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement - Front and Sunroof Window Replacement - Rear . It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With C3U) or Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without C3U) .
1	Sunroof Module Fastener (Qty: 16) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedures Sunroof module has eight fastener on each side. It will be necessary to have assistant to remove the sunroof module from the vehicle. Disconnect the electrical connectors. Disconnect the drain hoses from the module. Install a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and protect the interior trim. Remove the sunroof module through the liftgate opening. Tighten: 5.5 N.m (49 lb in)
2	Sunroof Module Procedures Place the sunroof module on a soft surface. Transfer all necessary parts. Ensure that the window operate properly. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment and Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process . Water test the vehicle before installing the headliner.

Procedures

Sunroof module has eight fastener on each side.
It will be necessary to have assistant to remove the sunroof module from the vehicle.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Disconnect the drain hoses from the module.
Install a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and protect the interior trim.
Remove the sunroof module through the liftgate opening.

Tighten: 5.5 N.m (49 lb in)

Procedures

Place the sunroof module on a soft surface.
Transfer all necessary parts.
Ensure that the window operate properly. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment and Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process .
Water test the vehicle before installing the headliner.
