Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector (1).
  2. Align the brake pedal position sensor (5).

    Engage the brake pedal position sensor locating tab (3) to the brake pedal bracket (2).

  3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the brake pedal position sensor to brake pedal bracket retaining bolt (4).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 3 N.m (26 lb ft).

  5. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  6. Install the instrument panel lower left trim plate assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  7. Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor (5). Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment .
