Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Ignition OFF.

Warning:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning Battery Disconnect Warning.


2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).





3. Disconnect the mass airflow sensor (MAF) harness connector (2) from the MAF sensor (1).

4. Remove the MAF sensor to air cleaner assembly screws (3).

5. Remove the MAF sensor (1) from the air cleaner assembly (4).

Installation Procedure





1. Install a NEW MAF sensor (1) to the air cleaner assembly (4).

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the MAF sensor to air cleaner assembly screws (3) and tighten to 1 Nm (9 lb in).

3. Connect the MAF sensor harness connector (2) to the NEW MAF sensor (1).

4. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).
