USB Port without Multimedia Player Interface Module

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X209 I/P to floor console harness connector.
  2. NOTE: A USB Type A female to female adaptor (gender changer) may be required for the following test.
  3. Ignition ON, radio ON, connect a device to the USB connection of the I/P side of the X209 harness connector. Verify the infotainment system to switches USB as the audio source.
    • If the infotainment system does not switch to USB as the audio source, ensure the USB cable is properly connected at the radio. If the cable connection checks OK, replace the I/P USB cable assembly and reconnect the USB device. If the infotainment system still does not switch to USB as the audio source, replace the A11 radio.
  4. Ignition OFF, reconnect the X209 I/P to floor console harness connector.
  5. Ignition ON, radio ON, connect a device to the console USB port. Verify the infotainment system to switches USB as the audio source.
    • If the infotainment system does not switch to USB as the audio source, ensure the USB cable is properly connected at the X83 auxiliary audio input. If the cable connection checks OK, replace the X83 auxiliary audio input and reconnect the USB device. If the infotainment system still does not switch to USB as the audio source, replace the console USB cable assembly.
