Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Ensure the brake fluid level indicator switch locking tabs are fully engaged in the master cylinder reservoir.
  1. Install the brake fluid level indicator switch (1).
  2. Connect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.

  4. Install the master cylinder heat shield, if equipped.
  5. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  6. Install the master cylinder heat shield bolt (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    NOTE: Lift the dash panel insulator slightly to install the upper master cylinder heat shield nut.
  8. Install the master cylinder heat shield nuts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  9. Install the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LF1) or Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LAU) .
