Circuit/System Verification
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that DTC U0073, U0074, U0125, or U0126 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Verify the scan tool Steering Column Position parameter corresponds to the actual steering position as the steering wheel is turned through its entire range of motion between -500° and +500°.
- If the parameter does not correspond with the steering wheel position or the reading is erratic
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the parameter reading corresponds with the steering wheel position
- If the parameter does not correspond with the steering wheel position or the reading is erratic
- All OK.
