Installation Procedure

Maneuver the power steering gear inlet hose as necessary in order to position the hose in the vehicle.

NOTE:

Hand start the power steering gear inlet hose fittings before finalizing any torques.

Connect the power steering gear inlet hose (1) to the steering gear and tighten to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

Connect the power steering gear inlet hose (1) to the power steering pump and tighten to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).
Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.
Remove the drain pans.
Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
