Sensing and Diagnostic Module Setup

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair. The SDM Setup Procedure must be performed if any of the following components are replaced:

  1. SDM
  2. BCM
  1. Connect a scan tool to the vehicle and access SPS. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) 
  2. Perform the SPS function Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module - Setup and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Clear any DTCs after completing the Setup procedure.
