Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Align the brake pedal position sensor pin to the brake pedal bracket.

  1. Install the brake pedal position sensor bolt (1) through the bracket and to the brake pedal position sensor (2)..
  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Tighten the brake pedal position sensor bolt to 3 (27 lb in)

  5. Install the brake pedal position sensor and bracket assembly to the brake and accelerator pedal assembly.
  6. Install the brake pedal position sensor bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 3 (27 lb in).
  7. Connect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector.

  9. Install the intermediate steering shaft (1). Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .
  10. Install the instrument panel lower reinforcement bracket. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Reinforcement Bracket Replacement .
  11. Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration .
