Liftgate Lock Cylinder

  1. Tumbler spring (2) and tumbler (3) to be assembled into cylinder (1)-In this case start with the tumbler near the cylinder head and work through until the last tumbler at the cylinder ground. Use the key as tool by pushing it in step by step to hold the already assembled tumblers in place.
  2. Apply grease on the cylinder diameter.
  3. Assemble the rotor case (5) and sub-assembly.
  4. Remove the key.
  5. Install the return spring (5) and lever (6).
  6. Install the E-ring (6) to the bottom of the cylinder.
  7. Install and stake the rotor case cover (8) onto the head of the rotor case (5) by crimping the cover material in 2 places into the pockets around the head of the rotor case.
