Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors X1, X2, X4, X5, and X6 at the K9 BCM.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 3.0 Ω between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Terminal 1 X1
- Terminal 2 X2
- If not within the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Terminal 2 X1
- Terminal 3 X1
- Terminal 4 X1
- Terminal 1 X2
- Terminal 3 X2
- Terminal 4 X2
- Terminal 20 X4
- Terminal 3 X5
- Terminal 4 X5
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuits for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If all the circuits test normal, test or replace the K9 BCM.
