Circuit/System Description

The parking assist can be disabled by pressing the parking assist switch when the system is active. Switching the transmission out of R and then back into R will enable the parking assist again. The indicator in the parking assist switch shows the status of the parking assist. If the lamp is ON, parking assist is activated.

The parking assist feature is enabled by the parking assist switch pulling the signal circuit from the front and rear parking assist control module to ground. The LED is illuminated by the front and rear parking assist control module providing the ground to the LED.
