Component Testing

Static Test

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump.
  2. NOTE:

    The DMM and test leads must be calibrated to 0 ohms in order to prevent misdiagnosis.

  3. Test for 9-11 ohms at 25°C (77°F) between low control circuit terminal 1 and high control circuit terminal 2.
    • If not within the specified range 

      Replace the G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump.

    • If within the specified range 
  4. Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the High Pressure Fuel Pump housing/case.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump.

    • If infinite resistance 
  5. All OK.
