Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Steering Column Control Module Bracket Bolts

  1. Position the steering column control module bracket (3).
  2. Start the steering column bracket bolt (2) and steering column control module bracket bolts (1).
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Tighten the steering column bracket bolt (2) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  4. Tighten the steering column control module bracket bolts (1) to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
  5. Connect the electrical connectors to the steering column control module and bracket.
  6. Install the instrument panel knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
  7. Install the left side instrument panel insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
