Installation Procedure
- Install the engine control module bracket to the engine control module (1) in arrow direction until the 2 retainers (2) audible engage.
- Install the engine control module bracket (2) to the engine control module insulator (1) in arrow direction until the retainer audible engage.
- Install the engine control module (1).
Slide the engine control module into the bracket (2) until its audible engage.
- Connect the 2 wiring harness plugs (1) to the engine control module and lock them.
- Install the 2 wiring harness clips (2) to the bracket.
- Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Program the engine control module, if required. Refer to K20 Engine Control Module: Programming and Setup (LUZ) .
- Turn OFF the ignition for at least 5 seconds after the programming event is complete.
CAUTION:
In order to prevent any possible electrostatic discharge damage to the ECM, do not touch the connector pins.
