Circuit/System Description

At each ignition ON, the transmission control module compares the calibration data stored in the CVT ROM assembly with the calibration data stored in the transmission control module. If the ROM assembly data does not agree with the transmission control module data a checksum error is logged and DTC P1790 is set.

This is an internal fault of the CVT ROM assembly in the transmission detected by the transmission control module. No external circuits are involved.
