Circuit/System Testing

- Vehicle OFF, radio OFF, radio B+ fuse removed, disconnect all of the connectors listed below:
- T3 Audio Amplifier X3
- P9 Information Display (UDY)
- Subwoofer (convertible with UQ3)
- Rear Spoiler Antenna (UB3)
- Install the radio B+ fuse. Vehicle in Service Mode, A11 radio ON.
- Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the entertainment remote enable circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- T3 Audio Amplifier X3 terminal 1
- P9 Information Display (UDY) terminal 18
- Subwoofer (convertible with UQ3) terminal 7
- Rear Spoiler Antenna (UB3) terminal A
- If the test lamp does not illuminate.
- Vehicle OFF. Disconnect the X1 harness at the A11 radio.
- Test for infinite resistance between the control circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the control circuit end to end.
- If greater than 2 Ω, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the A11 radio.
- If the test lamp illuminates.
- Verify that DTC B1265 does NOT set as each component is connected one at a time.
- If DTC B1265 sets.
Replace the module/component that was just connected
- If DTC B1265 does not set.
- If DTC B1265 sets.
- All OK.
