Circuit/System Verification (Object Detection And Pedestrian Protection System)

  1. Verify there is no debris on the rearview camera lens.
    • If debris is found on the lens 

      Clean the debris from the lens.

    • If no debris is found on the lens 
  2. Engine running, transmission in park.
  3. Verify the backup lamps are not ON.
    • If the backup lamps are ON 

      Refer to Rearview Camera System Always On.

    • If the backup lamps are not ON 
  4. Engine running with the drive wheels chocked, set the park brake and place the transmission in reverse.
  5. Verify backup lamps are ON.
    • If the backup lamps are ON 
  6. Verify a clear rear vision image is displayed on the inside rearview mirror.
    • If a clear image is not displayed 

      Refer to Rearview Camera System Does Not Display.

    • If a clear image is displayed 
  7. All OK.
