Circuit/System Description

The driver information center switch is a multiplexed switch. The up, down and set buttons are a series of momentary contact switches that connect a series of resistors in a resistor ladder format. The up, down and set buttons utilize a 12 V signal and the instrument cluster determines which button is pressed by the voltage drop across the resistors when the button is pressed. The Menu switch is supplied 5 V and is pulled to ground when the switch is pressed.
