Circuit/System Verification
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF.
- Ignition ON engine OFF.
- Verify DTC P0885 is not set.
- If set
Refer to DTC P0885 .
- If not set
- If set
- Verify that DTC P17C9 is only set as a history DTC.
- If set as current
- Replace the component: K71 Transmission Control Module.
- Perform the Transmission Service Fast Learn procedure.
- Perform the Long Term Memory Reset procedure. (If equipped)
- If only set as history
Refer to:Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections
- Clear DTC P17C9 from current and history.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify DTC P17C9 is not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the component:Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly
- If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
NOTE:
It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down before an accurate ground or low reference circuit continuity test can be performed.
