Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:

Verify the device being used for testing is capable of the Bluetooth ® feature(s) related to the customer concern.

  1. Ignition ON, infotainment system ON.
  2. Verify that audio is heard clearly through all speaker channels when tuning radio to a known good station.
    • Go to next step: If audio is heard clearly 
  3. Verify the infotainment system successfully pairs with a mobile device.
    • If the infotainment system does not successfully pair with a mobile device 
    1. Attempt to pair another mobile device.
      • If the infotainment system cannot pair with any mobile device, replace the A11 Radio.
      • Go to next step: If the infotainment system successfully pairs with the mobile device
    2. The malfunction is related to the mobile device.
    • Go to next step: If the infotainment system successfully pairs with the mobile device 
  4. Verify the infotainment system performs the desired feature using the mobile device.
    • If the feature does not function correctly 
    1. Pair another mobile device.
    2. Verify the infotainment system performs the desired feature using the mobile device.
      • If the infotainment system cannot perform the desired feature with any mobile device, replace the A11 Radio.
      • Go to next step: If the infotainment system successfully performs the desired feature.
    3. The malfunction is related to the mobile device.
    • Go to next step: If the feature functions correctly 
  5. Place a call using the cellular device paired to the system.
  6. Verify that audio from the conversation partner is heard clearly.
    • If audio is not heard clearly 

      Replace the A11 Radio.

    • Go to next step: If audio is heard clearly 
  7. Verify the conversation partner can hear you clearly.
    • If the conversation partner cannot hear you clearly 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing following below.

    • Go to next step: If the conversation partner can hear you clearly 
  8. All OK. Refer to Diagnostic Aids.
