Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the X92 USB Receptacle and connect the EL-50334 - 4  USB Type A Female to Mini B Female Adapter to the harness connector, then connect the El-50334 - 20  Multi-Media Interface Tester (MIT) and select the USB test mode, ignition ON.
  2. Verify the audio from the EL-50334-20  Multi-Media Interface Tester (MIT) is heard through the infotainment system while operating the system to play audio from the test tool.
    • If audio is heard from the test tool 

      Replace the X92 USB Receptacle

    • Go to next step: If audio is not heard from the test tool 
  3. Ignition OFF, Disconnect USB Interface Harness from A11 Radio and connect EL-50334 - 2  Type A Female to Mini B Male USB Test Cable to A11 Radio, then connect the EL-50334-20  Multi-Media Interface Tester (MIT) and select the USB test mode, ignition ON.
  4. Verify the audio from the EL-50334-20  Multi-Media Interface Tester (MIT) is heard through the infotainment system while operating the system to play audio from the test tool.
    • If audio is heard from the test tool 

      Replace the USB interface harness between A11 Radio and X92 USB receptacle

    • Go to next step: If audio is not heard from the test tool 

      Replace the A11 Radio

  5. All OK.
