Circuit/System Description

This is an internal fault detection of the transmission control module (TCM). The TCM compares the calculated value stored in the flash read-only memory (ROM) with the value stored in the TCM. If the calculated value does not agree with the stored value, the TCM judges this as a malfunction. No external circuits are involved.
