Removal Procedure
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
Always connect or disconnect the wiring harness connector from the EBCM/EBTCM with the ignition switch in the OFF position. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to the EBCM/EBTCM.
- Disable the high voltage system. High Voltage Disabling
- Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover - Remove - Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement
Radiator Surge Tank Bracket Clip (2) - Remove
- Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Position aside
- NOTE:
Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Brake Pipe Fitting (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Remove [4x]
- Brake Pipe Fitting (2)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Remove
- NOTE:
Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (2) - Remove
- NOTE:
Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (2) - Remove
Electrical Connector (1)@Electronic Brake Control Module (2) - Disconnect
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove
- Carefully remove the brake pressure modulator valve (3) and the brake pressure modulator valve bracket (2) from the vehicle.
- Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket - Remove - Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement
Do NOT disconnect the engine coolant hoses.
Protect the windshield edge before removing the component.
