Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

CAUTION:

Always connect or disconnect the wiring harness connector from the EBCM/EBTCM with the ignition switch in the OFF position. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to the EBCM/EBTCM.

  1. Disable the high voltage system. High Voltage Disabling
  2. Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover - Remove - Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement

    Radiator Surge Tank Bracket Clip (2) - Remove

  4. NOTE:

    Do NOT disconnect the engine coolant hoses.

  5. Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Position aside

    NOTE:

    Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Pipe Fitting (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Remove [4x]

  7. Brake Pipe Fitting (2)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (2) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (2) - Remove

    Electrical Connector (1)@Electronic Brake Control Module (2) - Disconnect

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove

  12. NOTE:

    Protect the windshield edge before removing the component.

  13. Carefully remove the brake pressure modulator valve (3) and the brake pressure modulator valve bracket (2) from the vehicle.
  14. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket - Remove - Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement
