Removal Procedure
- Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
Luggage Shade (1) - Remove
- Open the liftgate.
- Release the luggage shade straps from the luggage shade pivot.
Rear Compartment Stowage Shelf (1) - Remove
Load Floor Trim Panel (1) - Remove
Grasp and gently pull up on the liftgate sill garnish molding (1) in order to release the integral retaining clips.
- Liftgate Sill Garnish Molding (1) - Remove
- NOTE:
Both sides shown. The quantity is for the one side.
Cargo Tie Down Loop Fastener (1) - Remove
- Cargo Tie Down Loop (2) - Remove
Use a flat bladed plastic tool to remove.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Rear Compartment Courtesy Lamp (1) - Remove
Rear Seat Cushion (1) - Remove - Rear Seat Cushion Removal and Installation
Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) - Remove
- Starting at the front of the sill garnish molding, pull upward at the B-Pillar joint to disengage sill garnish molding.
- Work your way rearward disengaging all of the garnish molding clips then pull forward to disengage from the C-Pillar lower.
- Replace the retainers as required.
Rear Seat Back Bolster Nut (1) - Remove
- Rear Seat Back Bolster (2) - Remove
- Compress foam on back of the rear seat back bolster above upper hook, and pull bolster up and out.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Rear Seat Back Cushion - Remove - Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (40 Percent Seat) , or Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (60 Percent Seat)
Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) - Remove
- Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) - Remove
- Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) - Reposition
- Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool.
- Grasp and gently pull up on the body lock pillar upper trim panel (3).
- Pull the rear seat belt through the body lock pillar upper trim panel (3).
Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool to release the quarter lower rear trim panel.
- Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) - Remove
Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect
- Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (2) - Remove
Do not pull on lower part of bolster, as this can bend or damage the part.
