Removal Procedure

Extend the steering column to the fully telescoped position.

NOTE:
The instrument panel steering column upper trim cover does NOT need to be completely removed, only unclip the instrument panel steering column upper trim cover from the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover.

Unclip the instrument panel steering column upper trim cover (1) from the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover and reposition.

Turn the steering wheel approximately 90 degrees to the left of the centered position.

Turn the steering wheel approximately 90 degrees to the right of the centered position.

Turn the steering wheel to the centered position.

NOTE:
Maneuver the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover around the steering column tilt and telescoping lever as necessary.

Remove the instrument panel steering column lower trim cover (1) from the steering column.

Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
