Installation Procedure
Front Side Door Latch Striker (2) - Install
- Front Side Door Latch Striker Bolt (1) - Install and hand tighten [2x]
- Close the front side door, noting any of the following:
- Improper door alignment to door opening, drag causing the door to move up / down upon contact with the striker.
- Excessive closing efforts to engage the door latch.
- NOTE:
If required, adjust the front side door latch striker for proper door alignment and closing efforts.
Front Side Door Latch Striker Bolt (1) - Loosen [2x]
- Reposition the front side door latch striker (2) in the up / down direction to eliminate drag, ensuring proper door alignment to the door opening is maintained.
- Reposition the front side door latch striker (2) in the in / out direction for proper door seal engagement, ensuring door closing efforts are correct.
- Front Side Door Latch Striker Bolt (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Using a clean towel and isopropyl alcohol, remove the grease pencil markings.
