Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

The PCM controls all ignition system functions and constantly corrects the spark timing. The PCM monitors information from various sensor inputs that may include the following components, if applicable:

• Ambient pressure sensors (BARO)
• Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
• Engine knock sensors
• Intake air temperature (IAT) sensors
• Mass air flow (MAF) sensors
• Throttle position sensor
• Transmission gear position or range information sensors
• Vehicle speed sensor (VSS)
