Circuit/System Testing
DTC U3000 with failure type byte 00, 41, 42, or 49
- Verify that the DTC is not set with FTB 00, 41, 42, or 49.
- If the DTC is set
Replace the B218 Side Obstacle Detection Control Module that is setting the DTC.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC is set
- All OK.
DTC U3000 4B
- Verify that the ambient temperature around the module is less than 85°C (185°F).
- If the ambient temperature is above 85°C (185°F)
- Allow the area around the control module to cool below 85°C (185°F).
- Clear the DTC. Operate the vehicle under the conditions for running the DTC.
- Verify the DTC does not reset.
- If the DTC resets, replace the B218 Side Obstacle Detection Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not reset
Go to next step: All OK.
- Go to next step: If the ambient temperature is below 85°C (185°F)
- Clear the DTC. Operate the vehicle under the conditions for running the DTC.
- Verify the DTC does not reset.
- If the DTC resets, replace the B218 Side Obstacle Detection Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not reset
- All OK.
DTC U3000 51, DTC U3000 54, DTC U3000 56 or U3000 57
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that DTC U3000 51, U3000 54, DTC U3000 56 or U3000 57 is not set.
- If the DTC is set
- Program the B218 Side Obstacle Detection Control Module.
- Verify the DTC does not reset.
- If the DTC resets, replace the B218 Side Obstacle Detection Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not reset
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- All OK.
DTC U300 78 or U3000 97
- Ignition ON.
- Verify DTC U3000 78 or U3000 97 is not set.
- If the DTC is set
- Verify that the radar module is properly and securely mounted in position.
- Verify there is no object or debris blocking the radar sensor such as dirt, mud, snow, or salt. Clean as necessary.
- Inspect the module harness for signs of physical damage or corrosion. Repair or replace as necessary.
- Perform the B218 Side Obstacle Detection Control Module Correction Angle Reset.
- Operate the vehicle under the conditions for running the DTC.
- Verify the DTC does not reset.
- If the DTC resets, replace the B218 Side Obstacle Detection Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not reset
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- All OK.
