A/C Wide Open Throttle (WOT) Cut-Out Relay Circuit (Code 33)

  1. Turn ignition off. Without disconnecting connector, connect a voltmeter between cavity No. 11 of logic module Black connector and ground. Turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, go to next step. If voltmeter does not read within one volt of battery voltage, go to step 3).
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect A/C relay connectors. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals No. 1 and 4. If ohmmeter reads some resistance (no specific value, just ensure ohmmeter shows some resistance), replace logic module. If ohmmeter does not show some resistance, replace A/C relay and logic module.
  3. Without disconnecting connector, connect a voltmeter between Dark Blue/Orange wire of A/C cut-out relay 3-way connector and ground. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, repair Dark Blue/Orange wire for an open circuit to logic module. If voltmeter does not read within one volt of battery voltage, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Black connector from logic module. Disconnect 3-way connector from A/C cut-out relay. Connect ohmmeter between Dark Blue/Orange wire of A/C cut-out relay 3-way connector and ground. If ohmmeter reads continuity, repair Dark Blue/Orange wire for a short to ground. If ohmmeter does not read continuity, go to next step.
  5. Connect a voltmeter between single connector on A/C cut-out relay and ground. Turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, replace A/C cut-out relay. If voltmeter does not read within one volt of battery voltage, repair single connector wire for an open circuit to harness splice.
