Cold DRIVEABILITY Test 10 - Bowl Vent Valve Check
- Disconnect bowl vent hose from the vapor canister. Blow lightly into the hose. Air should flow through the hose. If air does not flow through the hose, check for a restricted/plugged hose or repair bowl vent.
- If airflow is okay, start the engine. Blow lightly into hose. Air should not flow through hose. If air flows through hose, repair bowl vent valve. If air does not flow through hose, proceed to COLD DRIVEABILITY TEST 11 (4-Bbl. models) or COLD DRIVEABILITY TEST 12 (2-Bbl. models).
NOTE:
Models equipped with 2-Bbl. carburetors use an electric valve. Models equipped with 4-Bbl. carburetors use an external valve that closes with air pump pressure.
