Diagnostic Procedure: Introduction

Before proceeding with diagnosis, certain precautions must be followed. See PRETEST INSPECTION.
Diagnostic test procedures are designed to detect system faults as quickly as possible. Body fault codes are accessed through CCD bus diagnostic connector. See Figure and Figure . DRB-II tester is used to access information from CCD bus diagnostic connector.
DRB-II tester, jumper wires, analog volt/ohmmeter and circuit tester will be needed for testing. Proceed to TEST 1A: IDENTIFYING EQUIPMENT & SYSTEM PROBLEMS. Ensure trouble shooting charts apply to vehicle being tested. See BODY CONTROL COMPUTER DIRECTORY table. When system problem is identified according to customer's complaint, perform diagnostic test indicated.
