Blank Message Screen

- When this happens, connect DRB to a different vehicle. If message screen is still blank, DRB or cable adapter is faulty. Substitute another DRB to find faulty component.
- If message screen is not blank when DRB is connected to another vehicle, DRB and cable adapter are functioning properly. Inspect original vehicle's diagnostic connector for proper wire placement, damaged terminals or pushed out pins. Repair as necessary.
- If diagnostic connector is okay, using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and Black/White wire at engine diagnostic connector. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair open in Black/White wire.
