Wipers Do Not Operate With Switch In DELAY Position
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Black 25-pin connector from body control module located behind right front kick panel. Turn ignition on and delay control switch to maximum DELAY position. Connect voltmeter positive lead to body control module connector terminal No. 9 (White/Black wire) and negative lead to ground.
- If zero volts exists, check wiper switch and wiring for open circuit. If 10-15 volts exists, connect positive lead to body control module Black 25-pin connector terminal No. 22 (Dark Blue wire) and negative lead to ground.
- If zero volts exists, check fuses and wiring for open circuit. If 10-15 volts exists, turn ignition off and connect body control module connector. Disconnect wiring harness from wiper motor. Turn ignition on and delay control to minimum DELAY mode. With voltmeter positive lead, backprobe body control module connector terminal No. 24 (Dark Green/White wire). With voltmeter negative lead connected to metal case of body control module, measure voltage.
- If zero volts exists, check wiring from intermittent wiper switch to body control module for open. If 10-15 volts exists, connect voltmeter to terminal "L" (Brown/White wire) of intermittent wiper switch. Move intermittent wiper switch to maximum DELAY position.
- If zero volts exist, replace intermittent wiper switch. If 10-15 volts exists, check wiring harness from intermittent wiper switch to wiper motor for open circuit. If problem has not been found after performing previous steps, replace body control module.
