System Diagnostics

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE: Self-diagnostic tests are written specifically for Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRB-III) scan tool, which will be referred to as DRB during testing procedures. If using a generic scan tool, ensure scan tool is OBD-II certified. A generic scan tool may not be capable of performing all necessary test functions. Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL), also known as CHECK ENGINE light (located on instrument panel, just below fuel gauge) may also be used for system diagnostics, but has limited diagnostic capability.
