Power Top Test 1A - Identifying Power Top Problems

NOTE: Perform SYMPTOM ID TEST 1A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform, after each repair, TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE .

The Body Control Module (BCM) interrupts power feed circuit to power top switch/ The BCM will open power top inhibit relay when vehicle speed is greater than 10 MPH. If power top motor is suspect, go to POWER TOP TEST 2A below. If further testing of power top system is needed, go to CONVERTIBLE TOP - POWER article.
