Installation (3.5L)

If reusing CMP sensor, clean old paper spacer from camshaft end of CMP sensor. Install NEW paper spacer on camshaft end of CMP sensor.
On all CMP sensors, install CMP sensor in timing belt housing. Push CMP sensor downward until it contacts camshaft sprocket.
Install and tighten bolt for CMP sensor to specification while holding CMP sensor downward against camshaft sprocket. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install CMP sensor harness connector. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
