Removal & Installation

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located near Transmission Control Module (TCM) and Power Distribution Center (PDC) in engine compartment. See Figure. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect PCM connector. Remove screws attaching PCM to bracket. Remove PCM from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. After PCM is replaced, VIN and mileage must be programmed into new PCM. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE  under PROGRAMMING.
