Front Window

  1. Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL & WATERSHIELD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Loosen fasteners for following components. See Fig 1 .
    • Delta sash bolts (lower window before loosening).
    • Equalizer arm bracket.
    • Window guide front track.
    • Window guide rear track.
    • Up-stop.
    • Inner stabilizer.
  2. Raise window and adjust to specifications. See Fig 2 . Remove weather-stripping from area to be measured (one area at a time). Push up stops against lift arm bracket of regulator. Install bolts. Ensure dimensions "a" and "d" are held while tightening front and rear guide tracks. See Fig 2 . Do not turn adjusting bolts of glass tracks. Tighten equalizer arm bracket bolts. Align delta sash to front edge of window and tighten bolts. Ensure weatherstrip does not slip or become wrinkled.
  3. Open and close door. Raise and lower window. Ensure window operates smoothly. Check window gaps. See GLASS GAP  table. Adjust as necessary. If clearance is too small, window will ride over glass catch. If clearance is too large, wind noise may occur at high vehicle speeds.
NOTE: In following step, if clearance is too small, window will be damaged. If clearance is too large, rattling will occur.
  4. Raise window fully and close door. Recheck gaps. Glass catch and weatherstrip should be parallel and both upstops should touch at same time when window is fully raised.
NOTE: In following step, if tilt is too small, window will ride over glass catch. If tilt is too large, door will be hard to close and window will not fully seat.
  5. Raise window fully. Close door until top of window touches weatherstrip at top of center pillar. Measure gap between window and body at top edge of door and top of quarter panel. Gap should be .59-.98" (15-25 mm). Adjust as necessary. When all adjustments are completed, install door trim panel.
